Nick has over 18 years of experience within the Chartered Accounting profession, holding positions in business services, audit and corporate finance. Nick’s extensive experience enables him to provide comprehensive and sound commercial advice to his clients.

Nick commenced his career at a mid-sized Chartered Accounting firm where he serviced the accounting, taxation and other statutory compliance obligations of his clients. He later spent some time as a Senior Auditor within a top 20 Australian Chartered Accounting firm located in the Sydney CBD where he played a key role in the conduct of audits and reviews for a portfolio of clients including several companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

Prior to establishing Navarra Kovac, Nick was a Director at PKF Corporate Finance were he specialised in providing the following advisory services:

  • merger, acquisition and divestment advice;
  • businesses valuations;
  • capital raisings including initial public offerings (IPOs) on the ASX and NSX;
  • due diligence reviews;
  • independent expert’s reports;
  • advanced financial modelling;
  • budgeting, forecasting and investment analysis advisory;
  • performance analysis;
  • purchase price allocations and impairment reviews; and
  • general accounting and taxation advice.

Nick has advised small to large companies on a wide range of local and cross-border transactions including acting as lead due diligence advisor for Signify NV (aka. Philips Lighting, AMS: LIGHT) and Abacus Property Group (ASX: ABP). Nick also has comprehensive experience in assisting Chinese and other Asian-based companies with ASX and NSX listings.

Nick has experience in a wide range of industries including waste management, renewable energy, agriculture, technology, property, hospitality, manufacturing, building services, mining services, logistics and transportation and financial businesses.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Business, is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ) and is also a registered Business Valuation Specialist with the CAANZ.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys getting out on his motorbike, camping, watching motor racing and spending time with his wife and two boys.
